Friends and Family (and a request)

...Remember that song "Friends and Family" by Trik Turner? Great song.
We have had non-stop celebration around here. Kevin's parents came to visit this weekend and we enjoyed a nice time of birthday gift opening (someone in the family has a birthday this weekend) and birthday cake eating. Kevin's parents always think of everything...they make every event super special and fun. They dragged a cake the whole way here from Philadelphia. It was really a wonderful surprise to get to host them for an evening. Our friend...nay...Godsend...Glen came over as well. We would be nowhere without Glen. He housed Kevin for a month or two before we got married and he recently leant us his fabulous treadmill (which Kevin actually uses and I think about using). He has also volunteered to help us move and is a good Guitar Hero companion of Kevin's. Anyway, great weekend all around!
And then I visited Pittsburgh for two days earlier this week and was treated to an incredible dinner by Sharyn. Those of you who know Sharyn know that she does everything top-shelf. Amazing meal. And an amazing time of watching Seinfeld reruns, too. We laughed until our faces hurt watching the one where Kramer takes a picture of everyone in the apartment building in an effort to get them to be more friendly and social with each other.
Oh, and please let it be documented that we enjoyed dinner with one BDC several weeks back(the bcarmel who recently commented on the blog). It was a lovely evening and we were remiss not to mention all the fun we had. Even though he's a snob from Columbia...since we are evidently rednecks from Reisterstown. BURN! Anyway, here he is in Mexico. No idea why I have this picture or who took it.
***Please take a moment to participate in our reader poll out to the right panel on our blog screen. Many thanks! This in no way indicates that we're having a girl, we just don't have any great girl names yet.***

Really Dog. I need to add some other names.
"Amanda" for one.
Or "Dog"
What the hizell.

But seriously, what happened to Katherine? I can't see you as the mom of a "Jenna" I just can't.

Jim says by the way, he thinks he once got drunk in Reitsertown, MD and that while hungover there, he played a game with small bowling balls and wants to know if you have such a thing there.

Well, Dog, it's so true. I don't know of any child named Dog (with the exception of Lil Bow Wow), so maybe I should start something.

For the record, we are not necessarily in love with any of those names, just trying them on for size. I do still love Katherine. So timeless.

So Reisterstown is a good place to get drunk, huh? Is it possible that this game with "small bowling balls" is bocci? Because I do love me some bocci. I could join a league.

For all the readers out there, take a hint from Dog and offer more name suggestions!

Okay, Happy Birthday, for one. Two, Katherine is an excellent name for a Vile child.

However, I also like Jillian. I had to put on my super scope eyes to read those names though. Tricky.

Yes, you have been viewing Gabriel in the Dr. Suess hat. Cute pic, huh! What about Max's Sr. Picture pose! Timeless!

love to you and Kev and Luther!!!!

Are you really going to let us pick your kids name? I'll tell you that at least one of those names is on JC's short list. Where is Ketler on your list? Or is that already a given for the middle name?

I have to say that I think Katherine is a wonderful name, although ours is with a "C".

We have a bocci ball set that we play at the beach but we have a court (is that what it's called) nearby that we might have to try out. I guess our area must be into bocci as well.

That picture of BDC is from Monterrey Mexico at the hotel we stayed at for that blasted Lithonia project... The girls at the desk loved BDC and Bocz. That picture was either taken at check-in or after a long night on the town. Either way, BDC was always happy to see the check-in desk girls.
